Back Seal Pouch
An economical pillow pouch sealed along the centre back of the film, suited to form-fill-seal lines.
DetailsWhat Is a Back Seal Pouch?
A back seal pouch, or pillow pouch, is made by forming a single film into a tube and sealing it along the centre back, then at the top and bottom edges. Common on crisps, biscuits and confectionery, this format is compatible with high-speed form-fill-seal machines.
Because it uses little material, it offers a cost advantage on large production runs. Its uninterrupted front panel leaves plenty of room for design and, with the right film structure, it protects the product from moisture and oxygen.
